A high-value added forming line to prodeuce 30 pieces of seat rails for cars per minute, feeding high tensile strength steel (HTSS) material of 100kg/mm2.
The line includes the processes of precision piercing, roll-forming through 30 roll stands on BURS-type machine, double-cutting and simultaneous 5-hole piercing, bending up of cutout edges, ends reformation, and burr removal of both ends.
After piercing about 5 dozens of holes on a 350mm length of seat-rail, the line proceeds to from the hard HTSS material with a cross-sectional dimension accuracy of ±0.2mm.
Accuracies for hole pitches are ±0.2mm or ±0.3mm for the most.
Hydraulic reforming device is added at the cutter for outward deformation due to the internal stresses after cutting.
At the last station of the line, burrs on seat-rails are removed by pushing them against a cylindrical wire brush changing their positions, so that you can touch anywhere at the both ends safely.

The preprocessing section, or flying prenotch section, carries out piercing process before molding the steel strip.
Cassette-type roll stands on this forming machine enable a quick tool change for production of other cross-sectional profile.
Auto-cassette changer can be added to line for more efficient tool change.
After molding into a given shape, rotary spot welding process and round bending process are followed. Then the products are cut along the R shape by flying cut off machine.
Products are cut by the double cut method, which gives nice cut surfaces without serious deformation on cross-sectional shape.
